I was with a dear friend of mine last night. She was telling me about her problems, which were significant. I prayed a prayer to see her as she is. As I did, something that I might describe as the vortex of the universe opened up and I saw something like myriad galaxies, a massive feeling of overwhelming majesty and power took me completely out of myself and my very existence seemed in danger of getting swallowed up in the endlessness and beauty of it all. I couldn’t hear what she was saying anymore.
My body and soul felt disconnected from this planet, transported to a place where one can experience the beauty of the whole universe bodily at once. It was weird!
“Ok!” I screamed inside, fearful of my dissolution and extinction, “I get the picture!”
And then I was returned.
This is the latest and most powerful of a long series of events that I have experienced recently when I have seen the glory of women.
We wonder at women, their beauty, their infinite mystery. But to really want to see them (which involves the heart more than the head and the eyes)…it takes a decidedly spiritual commitment.
Once I started doing tantra, I realized that every woman was beautiful unless she decided not to be. That was the only difference between the beautiful woman and the less apparently beautiful. And because it was only a volitional decision, I could see through to the reality: every woman is beautiful. Every woman is desirable. Regardless of weight or age or anything.
Once I saw this, I started to ask the women, “Do you know who you really are?” The best of them, the most enlightened, the most loving, the most amazing—have absolutely no clue. How do we tell them? It’s not enough to say, “you are beautiful”. They won’t believe you.
Women are transformational. The are the conduits and the catalyst for the energy of transformation, that alchemical lead into gold—starting obviously with the children made in their wombs from common earth into the joy of absolute manifestation of existence.
BUT, they can neither understand consciously how they do this, nor direct their massive energies without someone or something to believe in them, help them believe and see what their mission is.
The forces ‘outside’ bombard women with false messages about their worth and mission. If the world will be saved it will be because men 1) stop blocking women from their mission 2) start showing women their mission and 3) Assisting women in their mission (which is to help mankind anyway).
This will transform the planet completely. After we release some control to these divine women, we will watch them do the things we believe they can and must and then they will wildly exceed what we ever dreamed they would do—they will release power and transformation and energies within themselves and us that will quickly move this planet from a pit of hell into a garden of Eden, on all levels.
So, the steps for me have been:
- Gain experience to see women as they are.
- Release control of the women in your life.
- Gently show the women close to you what you see their divine potential can be.
- Support them in reaching this divine potential.
From my experience: this is terrifying. Once the energy of woman is released in all its forms man feels overwhelmed and afraid—out of control. He can handle just a few of the many energies of woman. That’s ok. Woman is like the ocean. It isn’t your job to deal with or control her. It is to bathe in her. To be carried, cleansed, and tossed by her.
So fear is normal. This is ok. You are out of control anyway. You just haven’t accepted it yet. That acceptance is part of our path.
Attacks on Jesus’ Divinity
From the DaVinci Code to Zeitgeist, the same old attacks are being made on Jesus’ divinity. Was Jesus divine? Something special? The Son of God?
The DaVinci Code says that the Church first decided to call Jesus divine at the Council of Nicea 325 AD. The first records that we have about the resurrection of Christ (meaning, His appearance to believers after his death and being placed in the tomb) were written within two decades of Jesus’ crucifixion. A guy who comes back from the dead (what other spiritual leader claims this–not as reincarnation, but as resurrection?) could comfortably called something divine, don’t you think? So the Council of Nicea claim from The DaVinci code is utter utter nonsense.
Also, in the Gospel narrative, all of the apostles were ready to quit the work–they went back to fishing, (literally!) after the death of Christ. They were downtrodden. Then they did a 180 degree turn and began to preach against all persecution and finally were killed for their belief. Because–why? Because they saw something that convinced them beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus was resurrected. This is all accepted as historical fact.
So:
So, was Jesus divine? One thing we do know is that there was a resurrection! That would seem to end the debate.
